Mission Statement
The mission of Cancer Counseling, Inc. is to assist cancer patients, their families, and friends in coping with the emotional effects of cancer on their lives through no-cost professional counseling and community education.

Cancer Counseling, Inc. (CCI) was founded in 1982 by Elise NeeDell Babcock. Through her personal experience with cancer she realized the need for professional emotional therapy. CCI has expanded over the last 25 years from a clinical staff of 2 to 40. CCI remains the only local not for profit agency in the Gulf Coast Area that provides free professional emotional therapy and education for cancer patients and families regardless of age, race, gender, religion or socio-economic status. CCI now serves in excess of 4,000 patients annually through individual and group counseling and educational programs.
For more information and to register for group and individual sessions, please contact the Cancer Counseling office at 713.520.9873 or 1.877.CCI.8447. All patients must complete a confidential phone intake before being seen by a CCI therapist individually or in a group.
